Haryana Ag Office: Haryana Ag Office Asks Jjp Quota Law Officers To Resign | Chandigarh News

Chandigarh: More than a month after the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana had shown the exit doors to its alliance partner Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) from power, the advocate general (AG) office has also asked the advocates who were appointed as law officers from the JJP quota to resign from their posts.As per the information, as many as 19 law officers posted on different posts — including additional advocate general, deputy advocate general and assistant advocate general — have been asked to put their papers. Among them, five were posted as additional advocate general, seven were deputy advocate general and seven assistant advocate general.8 quit, 11 more to goAll were communicated by the AG office to resign from their positions and till the filling of this report only eight of them have sent their resignations.Sources in the AG office added that the resignation letters of remaining 11 law officers would be received by next week.However, sources further added that around four other law officers, in addition to these 19, have not been asked to resign by the govt as of now.As per the available information, while some of those posted as additional AG from JJP quota had immediately sent their resignations on receiving the message from the AG office, some of them are still trying to ‘adjust’ themselves.Highly placed sources also confirmed to TOI that these law officers have been asked to resign after waiting for almost a month of split between the BJP and the JJP.
