Scottish girls, 13, rushed to hospital after ‘taking drugs’ at school

Two Scottish schoolgirls were rushed to hospital after reportedly taking drugs, with local police launching a probe into the incident.

The two 13-year-old’s became unwell at Dalbeattie High School in Dumfries and Galloway at around 2.10pm on Wednesday as emergency services were called.

The local council says the S2 pupil’s informed staff at the school that they had consumed drugs and were both taken to hospital before being checked over the later discharged, reports the Record.

Inspector Stewart McColm of Police Scotland said: “Around 2.10pm on Wednesday April 17, we received a report that two 13-year-old girls had taken unwell following possible drugs misuse at a school in Dalbeattie.

“They were both taken by ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Hospital where they were checked over then discharged. Inquiries are ongoing and we are working with our partners to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.”
