Kullu: The weather department has predicted fresh spell of snow and rains in Himachal Pradesh from Friday onwards even as around 100 roads still remained closed in the state.According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, a fresh western disturbance is likely to result in snowfall at isolated places in the upper reaches and rains in the lower and middle hills of the state from April 19 to April 20.The weather department has also issued a yellow alert for many districts of the state.According to a weather department official, most parts of the state will receive rainfall and snowfall in higher reaches on April 19 and a yellow alert has been issued for many districts.As per the weather department, there will also be thunderstorms and hailstorms in many areas of the state, including Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Hamirpur and Kangra districts in the next two days.The weather will remain dry for a few days after April 20.The official said that the average minimum temperature in the state was presently a little above normal and the maximum temperature is hovering around normal.“There will be a slight drop in both minimum and maximum temperature in the coming days due to the strong likelihood of snow and rain. As far as the seasonal temperature is concerned, the average temperature will remain a little above normal in April, May and June,” said the official.The official added that the monsoon was also likely to be above normal in the state.Meanwhile, the lowest minimum temperature of 4.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Keylong on Thursday.
